One of the most useful things to know when using your photo station, is how to check if it is indeed online and connected to the cloud. Problems can occur if you think you are up and running with photos being shared, but you really are not.
If you are physically present with the photo station, you can do at least 3 things:
- Log into the admin console and run the Internet Connection Test.
- Check the “Configure iSnap” icon to see what cloud account is currently set on the photo station.
- Take a test photo or two, and check your isnap.com dashboard to see the posts.
If you are not with the photo station (or even if you are), the Device Status screen can be a quick check.
To find the Device Status screen, from your dashboard, go to the System tab, and click on it from the drop-down menu.
Alerts & Notifications
If you do not wish to periodically check the Device Status on your iSnap dashboard, you can sign up for email notifications. By doing so, you will receive an email whenever any of your iSnap photo stations becomes disconnected or connected to the cloud (i.e. when it loses or regains internet connection).
Set this up by accessing your iSnap dashboard → System → Alerts and Notifications.
In addition to receiving offline alerts, you will also receive emails notifying you when a photo station goes back online.
