With Pro Tools, you have an option to have a facebook app which showcases the 50 most recent photos from your iSnap cloud account. Once set up, the page will update with the latest photos each time your facebook page is refreshed. This is a good option if you do not wish to manually create your own facebook album.
How to Set Up
The facebook gallery widget does have a few steps involved and is a bit tricky.
Step One: Generate API key
When you first go the widgets tab, you will be asked to create an API key if you have never done so. Simply click the link to generate one.
Step Two: Log into Facebook and iSnap.com
What will need to happen now is, you will need to be logged into BOTH the facebook account, and the isnap.com account as the admin. That is how both isnap and facebook “talk” to one another for this setup.
Step Three: Generate Code
On the isnap.com dashboard, select the Configuration tab and drill down to the Facebook Gallery page and click “Install Facebook Gallery.”
It will then open a window to facebook, asking you to choose which facebook page you want to choose. That is pretty straight-forward, and will get you the link on the facebook navigation bar (you may have to click the “More” drop-down to see it).
Step Four: Add CID
Now, there is one final step that is required to actually pull the photo stream to facebook, otherwise you will have the link but no photos to show. On isnap.com, please navigate to Configuration tab → Account Settings → Contact Information section.
Find the “Facebook Cid” section and put your facebook ID in there. There are several ways to look up your client’s FB ID#. One of which is to use this link: http://findmyfacebookid.
And there you have it, your iSnap gallery widget app will be loaded with your iSnap photo feed of the 50 recent photos from your account. From facebook settings, you can change the location of the gallery widget tab, as well as the name of the widget tab itself.
